We're SINKING!!!

Hello to all!! I wanted to wait to do a post when I was on my laptop so I could insert some pics but the fam is asleep and I am in the office awaiting everyone's arrival:). First of all this vaca has been simply amazing. Wait for it........ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. We have done so much and yet I still feel so rested. I think as time goes on I get more and more awestrucked of my bros accomplishments. We got to visit his squadron and see the plane that he flies. Again, AMAZING. I'm actually at a loss for words (YEs, Will it can happen, just not around you lol). As I look back at our fun days I think the most memorable will be yesterday's adventure. And what an adventure it was!!!!!

We were getting a pontoon boat at the marina. We woke up to an overcast sky and wind. But we figured the clouds would go away. Naturally the marina forgot to call us and let us know that they were not going to let any boats out today because it was too windy (HMMM that should be our first clue but wait........). Good thing we can go to another marina that is awaiting our arrival thanks to a phone call. I of course spoke up and said, "Well tomorrow the weather will be better wind wise if we just want to wait." The fam's reply: "What??? You don't want to go now???" Ok, insert foot and just agree. I was worried that it was going to be too rough, but what do I know I"m just a special ed teacher lol.

So there we are on the boat relaxing and yet chilled because of the wind. Jenica is wrapped so tightly that all I see on her is two eyes and a nose LOL. My bro had to make a phone call so I got to be captain Maegan!! I don't think I have gripped the wheel so hard in my life. BABOOM BABOOM BABOOM. UP and down up and down. We were in some rough waters and we kept getting splashed with water. Everytime we would hit a big wave you would hear me say, "OH my gosh I'm so sorry!!!!" This of course had them laughing hysterically because as the bro put it, "You can't control the waves!!" Poor Jenica looked like she was going to loose her lunch!!! That really was my focus of not hitting hte waves!!! The bro took over the wheel and I went back to relaxing. Until my bro purposely would hit a wave and get me wet. LOL

Now we are cruisin and trying to find Pirate Cove Beach to dock at. NOw we are getting more and more wet that my mom and I are covered in a towel. Jenica quickly gets up and runs to the back of the boat. I thought this is it the poor girl is going to get sick!!!:( My bro slows down a bit and now let me give you a visual here: We are all on the same side of the boat. Will is now sitting next to me and my mom. My bro says, "Umm why are you all on the same side of the boat???" So, I thought oh we need to even out the boat (Again I"m not captain here I'm just a teacher!) and Will and I move to the other side. I'm just sitting there enjoying the sun and WHAMO!!!!!!!!! I'm drenched and I look at the floor and see the bag of snacks floating to the back of the boat!!!!! Now, Jenica is hovering over the side of the boat and my bro slows way down. I run to the back of the boat. My mom now is hiding under a towel. It was classic!!! Suddenly we decided, "Oh our stuff!!! We might want to get it out and covered (DUHHH!!!) Jenica runs to the front of the boat with Will. The boat is almost at a standstill. Jenica goes to get my purse and I kid you not, we hit a wave that is so big that the front of the boat was down under. I thought HOLY SHIT WE ARE GOING DOWN@!!!!!! Will quickly grabs Jenica and yanks her back or she would of been swimming with the fishes!!! My Mom is screaming, bro is panicked beyond belief, and all I am doing is mouth wide open still as a statue because I'm about to pee and poop myself!!!! LOL LUckily my bro revved up the engine and we were saved!!! We decided that going to the pirate beach was not necessary!!! Suddenly we found an open beach and a bee line to the beach. Jenica brought me my purse and I thought, "OH its just my wallet in there so it should be fine...." UMMM then I realized something , "DUH!!! I brought my ipod to listen to music." Its been a black screen ever since. The consensus is that it needs time to dry out. But don't worry I have warranty on it so I should be ok regardless.

Our day was ended with a lovely day at the beach. The clouds went away, the water was calm, and the sunbathing was fabulous!!!!:)
